We will be exclusively previewing our leading seating and mobility initiative throughout Europe; namely One Solution. This event has been long awaited and we are proud to be supporting it. This year the 7th European Seating Symposium (ESS) will be on the 15th-17th June at Croke park, Dublin.

What is One Solution?

One Solution is about changing a mindset. It’s about ensuring that when we think about a wheelchair, we think about the seating, back supports and other accessories. 

At the European Seating Symposium, we will bring together some of our very best brands in wheelchairs and seating to create winning combinations. We will showcase brands such as Küschall, Action and Rea as well as Matrx, Vicair and Bodypoint. 

Our Invacare Team at ESS 

Meet our team of clinical and product specialists at the event to discover what’s new for 2022. The team are experts in the field and will help you explore the latest seating and positioning solutions available today. 

Sophie Vercaemer 

Sofie is a key Occupational Therapist at Invacare and heads up our Belgium division. Sofie offers extensive clinical knowledge and experience in seating and mobility. Before Invacare, she was instrumental in several rehab centres in Europe. Sofie continues to drive clinical knowledge and education both within Invacare and the wider clinical and care environment. She successfully co-presented at ESS in 2018.  

Allen Donnellan  

Allen is one of our highly experienced Product Specialists in Invacare Ireland and has been a part of our team for over 15 years. With a background in engineering, Allen brings extensive product knowledge to the One Solution team. He is able to provide a highly diverse range of skills in client seating and mobility and currently works daily in client seating assessments. 

Rhona Moot 

Rhona is one of Invacare’s lead Occupational Therapists and Clinical Educator within Europe with over twenty years of experience in wheelchair seating and mobility. Rhona specialises in seating and positioning and offers her expertise as a regular speaker at many healthcare conferences across Europe.

Stephanie Tanguay  

Stephanie is an Invacare lead Occupational Therapist in North America and has a decade of experience in spinal cord injury, seating and mobility as well as several years’ experience as a Rehab Technology Supplier. For nearly twenty years, Stephanie continues to be a Clinical Education Specialist for Invacare’s North American division: Motion Concepts. She also often presents at seating and mobility conferences across the U.S., Canada and Europe. We are pleased to announce that Stephanie will be presenting at the event.

The European Seating Symposium conference will include several topics for beginners to more advanced levels with presentations from Invacare’s Stephanie Tanguay.  

Wednesday 15th June: 

• 14.00 – 15.00pm : Considering power dynamic positioning as an essential part of the seating system 
• 15.30 – 16.30pm : Back to the future: selecting back supports to maximize client support and function (Beginner) 
• 17.00 – 19.00pm : Building blocks for success with early intervention seating & mobility (Beginner)  

Friday 17th June:

• 14.00 – 15.00pm : Ahead of the curve – rethinking plus sized seating and mobility (Intermediate)
