Invacare Ireland proudly sponsored Mark Rohan, double Olympic Gold Medallist in Handcycling. Through Mark we have become involved in Para Cycling Ireland and continue to sport them in their events and promotion of handcycling throughout Ireland.
Handcycling is an ideal way to keep fit and lose weight. The popularity of handcycling has exploded in recent years, further fueled by Mark’s success in the 2012 Paralympic Games. Many cycling clubs have members from the para-cycling community. Invacare Ireland sponsors the Cycling Ireland events calendar. They host various races, competitions and gatherings throughout the year all over Ireland.
We at Invacare Ireland are also looking forward to seeing Irish para cyclists Declan Slevin and Ciara Stauton race at the 2016 games in Rio. A number of the competitors will be riding Invacare Top End handcycles but we hope the Irish Team can repeat our previous success and bring home a couple of medals.
