Invacare's new Training Academy has been designed to provide a high quality comprehensive programme of product, clinical and technical based training. Tailored to the requirements of Clinicians and Professionals, Invacademy offers key skills and knowledge to those involved in managing and improving the care of vulnerable individuals.
Presented by experienced Clinical and Product Specialists, each course offers a mix of practical, group discussion and active participation.

Invacademy courses are free of charge to attend (with the exception of Impetus) with lunch and refreshments included.
Impetus course are held in different locations in Ireland throughout the year. All the other course
are held in the UK but can be scheduled in Ireland if there is a demand. Please contact our Dublin office (01-810-7084) for further details.

In February Invacare invited Ian Bickerton; PPC Product Specialist & Export Sales Manager, to our offices in Swords to demonstrate the range of Matrx back systems to our dealers.
Ian presented the products, and illustrated the unique features and the benefits of the Matrx. He also highlighted some important information such as what’s actually ‘in the box’ as some fixtures and fittings have to be order separately.

Due to breaches in patient safety new standards for beds were approved by IEC and ISO in April 2010. The new key elements are:
Invacare have adapted their bed side rails to conform to these new standards. Please view the presentation below on how the product range has been altered. There is also a fact sheet providing details on the reasons for these changes and the key of elements of this new standard. Finally there is a comparison chart highlighting the differences between the current and new standards.
